My 27th Bday // 27 Facts About Me

Today is my 27th birthday, & even though each birthday after 23 has been hard for me to celebrate, I thought that giving you 27 random facts about me would be a fun way to make this day happy. Instead of just myself coming up with facts, I’ve asked my family to give me ideas. So here you go!

1. I was homeschooled until 5th grade & then again for half of my 7th grade year & all of my 8th grade year
2. My 2nd toe is longer than the rest of my toes
3. I typically eat organic, but my cheat food is Flamin’ Hot Cheetos
4. Growing up, I always wore shorts under my dresses
   
5. My soccer career consisted of me sitting in the middle of the field & not moving
6. I did gymnastics from ages 3 to 10
7. Just before quitting gymnastics, I advanced to level 7 in AAU
8. I was a national AAU gymnastics medalist, competing in Orlando, Florida
   
9. When I was little, I wanted to give people M&M’s as they left the bathroom because that’s what I got for going to the bathroom
10. As a baby, I would lay on my side with my legs crossed, so my family called me Cleopatra (see picture below :) )
    
11. I fell down the stairs a lot as a child (that’s how my parents found out I needed glasses)
12. I stopped wearing glasses in junior high & haven’t needed them since
13. I love to cook & hate to bake
14. I am addicted to smelling my armpits
15. Growing up, my favorite meal my mom made was Shepherd’s Pie
    
16. I have a brother with thick brown curly hair (complete opposite of my hair)
17. Right after I was born, I stopped breathing so the nurses rushed me out of the room to save my life
18. My husband & I met when we were 13 years old (the first week we met, picured below)
    
19. I was born in New Jersey, grew up in Nebraska & Missouri, & now live in Arizona
20. I used to model for stock websites & have had my picture on billboards, magazines, & websites
    
21. I loved going to the dentist as a child
22. I never had braces but always wanted them
23. I’ve never broken a bone
    
24. I didn’t get my driver’s license in Missouri until I was 17 years old
25. I have been a pastor’s kid my whole life
26. I have always been a clean freak & perfectionist
27. I have an older sister, two younger brothers, & amazing parents (picture of my family // missing from the pic is my niece Wendy who wasn’t born yet & my brother Mike’s wife because he wasn’t married at the time)
