Cabin Before

Wow! It has been way too long since I’ve posted anything on here. I apologize to all of you! Summer has been our busiest season yet with 4 weeks of camp, buying our first home, moving into our home, furniture shopping, spending time with some of my Missouri family, etc. We still have a week in San Diego to look forward to, a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, National Fine Arts in Orlando, & a much desired cruise with my hubby! Life is busy, but life is great.

To catch you up in a little more detail, my husband is the director for all of our district summer camps in Prescott, AZ. We have a cabin that we stay in during the camps, which, believe me, is a blessing… however, I would be lying if I said it didn’t need any work done to it. All the cabins on the campground are very old & worn. Our camp caretakers have been doing an awesome job of renovating things, but with the amount of cabins on the grounds, it takes some time. Here is a little glimpse of our cabin before we moved in for camps…

This is the master bedroom. It basically has enough room for a bed & dresser.

This is the second bedroom. The family who directed camps before us had two little girls. Since we don’t have kids, we switched this bed our for a queen for guests & family.

Brown is a good color for a cabin, but notice the brown walls, brown floors, brown lamp, brown couch, & brown rug. The walls will hopefully get torn down by next year to lighten up the room.

The floors look weird in this photo because I was playing around with Photoshop & accidentally saved over the original photo with the rug.

Here is the kitchen. This is also on the to-do list for next year!

There you have it… the B E F O R E ! I will be sharing my projects & decorating updates with you soon!

What updates would you have done to this place on a limited budget?
